Marium Zafar, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been practicing in New York City since 2011. She received her Doctorate of Psychology at Wright State University and her dissertation focused on increasing awareness of mental health issues in South Asians. Dr. Zafar completed her internship at Wright State University and Dayton Children’s Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. She completed a two year postdoctoral fellowship in pain management at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Zafar has worked in multiple settings with a diverse patient population. She has extensive experience treating:

She implements a cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal framework for therapy, while remaining flexible with this approach and treating people within their cultural context.
